About Brenteson Fire

Brenteson Fire is a family-owned wildland firefighting company based in Conrad, Montana and Belgrade, Montana. Founded in 1988, the company began with a single water tender and a commitment to supporting wildfire suppression efforts across the western United States. Over the years, Brenteson Fire has steadily grown its fleet, experience, and reputation while maintaining the same core values it started with: hard work, reliability, and respect for the fire community.

Today, Brenteson Fire operates a fleet that includes two Type 6 engines, two Type 4 engines, and two Type 2 water tenders, providing critical suppression and support resources during wildfire incidents. Our equipment and crews work alongside federal, state, and local agencies to protect lives, property, and natural resources during wildfire events.
As a private contractor supporting the U.S. Government, Brenteson Fire responds whenever resources are needed. Some seasons bring long deployments and many days on incidents, while other years are quieter. Regardless of the season, our focus remains the same: providing dependable equipment, skilled operators, and a team that represents our company with professionalism and respect on every assignment.
